Choosing a fertilizer supplier in Malaysia is rarely a simple price comparison. The label on a bag tells you what is in it, but not whether the batch was stored correctly, whether the blend was formulated for your soil and crop, or whether the company behind it will still answer the phone when something goes wrong in the field.
That is why we built our fertilizer directory category the way we did. It currently holds 59 listings of Malaysian companies trading in fertilizers — importers, manufacturers, bulk-blenders and specialist micronutrient houses. The list below is drawn directly from those listings. Every company named here is a real, current entry in our directory, and every description is taken from what that company has told us about its own business. Nothing is ranked, sponsored or priced — this is a starting point for your own shortlist, not a verdict.
What the Malaysian fertilizer supply chain actually looks like
Before the individual companies, it helps to know the three or four shapes you will meet. Most Malaysian suppliers fall into one of these groups, and the right question you ask them is different in each case.
Manufacturers. These companies compound or blend fertilizer locally. Ask what formulations they can run on their own blending lines, and whether they will make a bespoke mix. Felcra Niaga Sdn Bhd, for example, lists chemical, organic, compound, mixture, bulk blend and straight fertilizers among its manufacturing range — a broad catalogue from a single source.
Importers and distributors. They hold inventory, often imported under their own name, and are your route to formulations that are not manufactured here. Nafas Bajakimia Sdn Bhd describes itself as a distributor of urea-based NPK compound and an importer of straight fertilizers, bulk blends and mixtures — the classic import-and-distribute profile.
Specialists. These firms do one thing well: micronutrients, water-soluble grades for fertigation, controlled-release products, or organic and bio-organic inputs. For an orchardist or a greenhouse operator this is often where the value is, and these are frequently the least well served by broadline suppliers.
Compacted and granulated specialty formats. A smaller group manufactures compaction and controlled-release fertilizers — harder-wearing granules for broadcast application, and slow-release products for high-value crops.
The 10 companies worth putting on your shortlist
These ten are drawn from the 59 fertilizer listings in our directory. Each is described from its own directory entry.
1. Greenmate Agro Sdn Bhd (830518-U)
Importer and distributor covering one of the widest single ranges we saw in the category: NPK compound fertilizers, peat moss, granular blends, controlled-release fertilizers, water-soluble NPK, fortified amino organic fertilizers and high-tech foliar products, with NPK specialties aimed at fertigation crops. If you are running fertigation, the fact that water-soluble and fertigation grades sit under one roof is worth noting.

2. Felcra Niaga Sdn Bhd (470602 W)
A manufacturer whose listed range spans chemical, organic, compound, mixture, bulk blend and straight fertilizers. That combination — inorganic and organic from one manufacturer — matters increasingly for growers under certification schemes or sustainability requirements that restrict synthetic inputs.

3. Consolidated Fertiliser Corporation Sdn Bhd (38033-D)
One of the longer-established names in the category — the company states it has been operating since 1978 — specialising in compaction fertilizers, compound fertilizers, bulk blends, mixtures, and organic and straight products. The distinguishing service is agronomic rather than manufacturing: field visits by their agronomist team, with a full detailed report on request.

4. Agroharta Fertilizer Sdn Bhd (617307-W)
A manufacturer of fertilizers, mixtures, bulk blends, compound and straight fertilizers, plus organic foliar fertilizers. The foliar organic line is the distinguishing element here — it gives growers a way to address a deficiency mid-season without changing their whole soil program.

5. Nafas Bajakimia Sdn Bhd (20581-U)
Distributor of urea-based NPK compound fertilizer, and importer of straight fertilizers, bulk blends and fertilizer mixtures. Urea-based NPK is one of the most widely used straight-fertilizer systems in the region, so this is a useful supplier to talk to when you want an imported grade rather than a locally compounded one.

6. Eishi Chemical for Agro and Industries Co. Ltd.
A specialist in micronutrient and water-soluble fertilizers: granular zinc sulfate, granular boron, compound micronutrients, formula NPK, TMAP and MKP. This is the kind of supplier you contact when a deficiency shows up in the tissue or leaf analysis and you need a corrective product rather than a general-purpose blend. Note that the contact number listed in our directory is a +86 number — this is a regional supplier, so plan for that in your communications.

7. FGV Fertiliser Sdn Bhd (25952-H)
A producer of a wide range of inorganic fertilizers — straight, mixture, compound and compacted — which it states it is supplementing with fortified organic fertilizer to match changing demand. Being part of a larger group is relevant to procurement: it speaks to continuity of supply over a multi-year contract.

8. Agromate (M) Sdn Bhd (197901005266)
An importer and exporter focused squarely on plantation and estate crops: a complete range of mineral fertilisers for oil palm, rubber and cocoa plantations, plus orchards and vegetable farms, with bulk blend, mix and compact fertilisers offered. For a smallholder or estate procurement officer, the crop-specific framing is the useful part.

9. All Cosmos Industries Sdn Bhd (487874-D)
A producer of 3-in-1 bio-chemical and bio-organic fertilizers, and of fertilizers tailor-formulated by crop — oil palm, paddy, rubber, fruits, vegetables and flowers. The by-crop formulation is worth asking about directly: a fertilizer mixed for paddy is not interchangeable with one mixed for rubber.

10. Gransea (M) Sdn Bhd (596203-K)
A manufacturer, importer and distributor of fertilisers, organic plant nutrients and liquid trace elements. The liquid trace-element line distinguishes it from the granule-only houses, and liquid forms are the practical choice for fertigation systems and for foliar correction.

How to verify a supplier before you commit
The directory gives you a shortlist. These are the checks that turn a shortlist into a supplier you can rely on.
- Match the product to the analysis. Ask for the certificate of analysis on the actual lot, not a datasheet. Confirm the nutrient percentages and the certificate date. A datasheet tells you what the product can be; a lot certificate tells you what this batch is.
- Check registration and labelling. Confirm the company registration number matches the one on the invoice, and that the fertilizer carries the correct Malaysian labelling and registration. Every company listed here publishes its SSM registration number in its directory entry, which is a free first check.
- Ask about storage. Fertilizer degrades with humidity and caking is a storage problem, not a factory one. Ask how batches are stored and how long stock is held before dispatch. If the answer is vague, assume the worst.
- Test before you scale. Run a small trial on a strip of the crop before committing a full season’s volume. Ask whether the supplier will support a trial or provide agronomic advice alongside the product.
- Agree lead times and price basis in writing. Confirm whether a quote is per tonne ex-works or delivered, and what the delivery window is. Fertilizer pricing moves, so a verbal quote is not an order.
- Verify the counterparty directly. Use the contact details published in the directory listing, and cross-check the website against the company name on the registration certificate.
